Designtific Method?

So what is this "Designtific Method" you keep hearing about?

Well, it's really just the science of making things work the way they should - combined with the design sensibilities that make you enjoy looking at them. Design + Science.

Sodium Halogen has a process of starting with the most important thing...you. Maybe it's your unique ideas or a superior product. Maybe its the fact the people keep raving about your great customer service, or it's the statistics that prove that the product you offer is better than the rest. Whatever it is - we start there. We place it front and center.

Next, we think through how people will engage this important thing. If its a website, then we start with sketches on paper. We make the site "work" first by thinking about how it should work...what it should do.

Only after we figure out what it should do, do we think about how it should work and finally how it will look. "If you start with something that functions beautifully, then its much easier to make it beautiful." says Shane Aday. "We make it look good, but only after we make it work well."

Results are the key. We look over the designtific data and see how well it performed.

We should not ask, “What is wrong with the world?” for that diagnosis has already been given. Rather, we should ask, “What has happened to the salt and light?”
