House Blend Cafe - Identity Design
Project Challenge: {analysis}
House Blend Cafe is a coffee shop with a mission. In addition to serving up great food, coffees and desserts, they pour 100% of their profits back into the community. (yes really!) They encourage their patrons to participate with them in community service projects House Blend is involved with and really want the customers in the store to feel like a community.
Creating a memorable identity for such a unique business approach and philosophy was important to the new business, so they brought Sodium Halogen in at the beginning to help with a logo that would work for cards and signage.
Project Solution: {hypothesis}
House Blend Cafe came to Sodium Halogen for a "logo," but we wanted to help them come up with a "voice" for their new brand. First, we created a logomark in a shape of an arrow.
The arrow looks like a house for "House Blend," but the arrow pointing up symbolizes the greater purpose of the business - to "do good" in the Orlando community.
Sodium Halogen also decided to infuse light-hearted humor into the branding of the business. This was incorporated into the business cards, paper cups and website.
Project Results: {designtific conclusion}
The identity created for House Blend Cafe has been a succesful one for them. Business is good and they are still "doing good" in the Orlando community. After the logo, House Blend hired Sodium Halogen to help incorporate their identity into business cards, store signage, coffee labels and custom paper cups.
