We Create Screencasts #
We use Loom to create screencasts for both coworkers and you. Screencasts are videos that record your screen and your voice, so you can show things off on your screen.
This allows us to communicate asynchronously through virtual presentations that show off our work instead of trying to fit more meetings into our busy schedules. We encourage you to send us screencasts as well!
We Use Google Docs #
Google Docs is like Microsoft Office, except it's online, free, and allows for collaboration. If we give you access to a Google Doc, any edits you make will show up for us as well! This makes collaboration with you a more seamless process. Feel free to send us Google Docs links as well.
We Reply Within 24 Hours #
Moving a project forward is really difficult when communication stalls. Because of this, we like to reply to our customers within 24 hours, and like to hear back within 24 hours as well. Long periods without communication can increase project costs because we have to spend more time getting replies.
We Don't Launch on Fridays #
You know the "don't hit the red button" trope? Yeah, that's us on Fridays. We've found that Fridays are basically cursed, and the main time we run into launch issues are the weekend after a Friday launch. Because of that, we don't launch then, for both our sake and yours.
No Tiny Estimates #
When change orders align with the desired outcome, we don't waste your time with estimates, communication or billing of change orders less than $500. For MLOE projects, we just do it.
We define the desired outcome and your customer's problem #
Your desired outcome and customer's problem as our true north star. Any feature or request out of alignment is outside of scope. This is permission to focus.
We solve fewer problems #
Only having 10 customers means our team is not spread too thin. Our MLOE keeps us overwhelmed.
We only put high effort on items of high impact #
Before we begin working on something, we find out how much impact this could have. If it's low impact, then we consider not doing it, or at least limit the amount of effort we put on it.
