Here is the plan.
How engaged is Sodium Halogen?
If we are truly trying to teach a team everything we know and do, then we should be having standup.
- William pairs with the client team for first standup to show the pattern
- Each day, the whole product team drop in EOD standup into a #standup chat channel
- The client team has daily standups each morning (they pick a time)
- Braden attends 1 standup a week in person (Thursday?)
The Why
- Increase communication
- Reduce any wait, worry and wonder.
- Everyone knows what everyone is working on. - Sharing information for all to hear helps disseminate information. See: Bus-coefficiency
- Surface what is holding the team back.
The How
- Type it first: Type in your EOD standup the day before (yesterday/today/blockers)
- Meet Everyday: 9am team meets everyday (any fixed time works)
- Callbacks: To prevent interruptions, save topics to discuss to the end for all to hear.
- Parking lots: note 5on2s (ex: *cs) then have 5on2s right after standup
